She has said during a press conference to her employees that the company didn’t not focus on the “why” and didn’t exactly cater to audiences who couldn’t afford what she had to offer.

Stewart was in our opinion fortunate to serve time and see what people really wanted in any type of financial situation that they were in. Many people benefit from Martha Stewarts Living but now even more she can relate to so many people whom she did not before and its largely because of her prison time.
