Thanks! I’ve done my 5th flower and it’s looking more like how it’s supposed to. Guess it takes a little practice.
Where I am, I get 40 coffee filters for $1.90 and it’s smaller. And there’s only 1 kind too. =( I wish we had cosco or at least other brands with more filters.
The first time or two I got them a little bunched up too. It takes a few tries before you figure out how to space them a bit. The middle ones do havea hard time to pry open to curl the edges, but I always say that even real roses don’t all furl open at times. Just do what you can and leave the rest. The good thing is that the materials are cheap so you can work by trial & error. I sort of “pull” on the tape as I am taping it to get it gummy/sticky while turning at the same time. Seems to work
Thanks for the video! I tried this twice but can’t seem to get it the way you made it. Mine comes out a bit lopsided and the petals in the middle are rather hard to pry open. Any tips? Am I taping too much? Would you have a tip on how to tape it?
Thanks Maybe it is the coffee filters? I know that I bought some that made them look pretty bad..the watercolor did not adhere to it correctly, so it looked very splotchy.
Isn’t it incredible how something so simple can be so beautiful? I still have the three I made sitting here and they are just as pretty as the day I made them.
I had to use a translation device, but I think you are asking how to obtain ‘molds’ to make this. Go to the link at Martha Stewart’s page and download the PDF which has the templates on it. I will put the link to the templates in the description box.
hola megustaria poder obtener los moldes que usas para hacer la rosa como los puedo adquirir., esa rosa esta fantastica me encanto y me gustaria poder hacerla.

I know it is listed in the tools & material, but I didn’t use the glue stick. Sorry, I never received notice of this comment.

I have done this, the flowers come out GORGEOUS – I use them as decorations on my presents, and party favors. Thanks for uploading this!
I loved it when they did it on Martha Stewart!
